the revenge of the SHOE GOBLIN - part 1

I spent all last night trying to come up with a new moth-related shirt idea, but I think it might be doomed. I might show it later, but I think maybe it is best if it never sees the light of day.

209 - the revenge of the SHOE GOBLIN - part 2

Sadly I didn't have space to fit in any shoe gags today - I feel I've let you all down very badly. And I could have easily done it if I'd just rearranged the first three panels. I promise to do better in future.

Also! I have done a guest strip for the comic Joe Loves Crappy Movies! You can see it by clicking on this word here: FEZ. Enjoy!

210 - the revenge of the SHOE GOBLIN

Hello! I have great news for all connoisseurs of high fashion and all people who want to have a squid on their chest: there is a new shirt available just for YOU!

Yes! I'll be taking pre-orders on this delectable new design for the next two weeks on the brand new shirt shop page and then shipping will begin shortly after - and as a special thank you to anyone who orders before the 22nd of August I will be giving a $2 discount off every shirt! Have I gone mad? Yes: Mad like a FOX. A fox with an excellent shirt discount.

So don't waste time trying to dissect my analogies, get over to the shirt shop and order today!

(Ok, that was the sales pitch lazily cribbed from the main website, so don't worry, you don't have to buy a t-shirt (with the discount they are about 11/12 english pounds each (including shipping) which is a scandalous sum). I will still like you even if you don't. Just not as much.)

I have made an incredible scientific breakthrough.

Having been cursed to eat ham sadwiches every day for 12 weeks (a long story involving food waste guilt and co-prime sandwich component consumption rates) I was forced to take desperate measures this lunchtime. Disregarding convention and my own personal safety I performed the unthinkable: I added salsa to a sandwich.

I have created a new taste sensation. The world of easily prepared lunches will never be the same again.

211 - the revenge of the SHOE GOBLIN - part 4

Shirt sales have gone pretty well, so I'm going to be sending the orders to the printer today and hopefully shipping should begin in a couple of weeks time. The only problem now is figuring out haw many to order - twice as many as have been preordered so far? Three times as many? I am not good at making DECISIONS.

And if you haven't ordered your t-shirt yet there is still time (in fact if I order three times as many as have been pre-ordered there will be lots of time) - you can find the shop here.

212 - the revenge of the SHOE GOBLIN - part 5

You can find that recipe here. The sharpness of the confit nicely counteracts the richness of the rocket fuel.

This comic almost didn't get made because my house got broken into over the weekend. Fortunately it looks like they weren't able to extricate my computer from its nest of tangled wires (it would have been the end for hopes of volume #2 if they had, as I'd never made any backups of the hi-res comics), but they did make away with my digital camera (sure to have a high street value given that it's held together with a rubber band) and my flatmates flashy new mac. It looks like I was lucky... THIS TIME.

Anyway, on to happier news: you still have 1 week to claim your pre-order discount on the new shirt. The orders have gone to the printer now and the shirts should be printed by the end of the week. So don't risk supplies running out - order today!

#213 - another 'I have a cold' filler strip

Sorry about this folks, but I've been stuck in my flat feeling sorry for myself for the last few days and just didn't really feel like picking up a pencil and starting to draw. I feel like I'm on the mend today though (depite a worryingly wet-sounding cough) so with any luck things should be back to normal next week.

It wouldn't be so bad, but in some sort of terrifying breach of the geneva convention I don't get paid for sick days and my work is moaning at me to get back. Plus there is nothing on daytime telly anymore. What happened to diagnosis murder? Bleh.

EDIT: it's on at 2.30. I've wasted my last 3 days.
